Belfast based company cmi is one of Northern Irelands leading IT service providers.
Local entrepreneurs Ken Roulston and Stephen Gillespie founded cmi with the vision of building a Company that was not only focused on solving the IT problems of businesses but was dedicated to delivering a high level of customer service.
Managing Director: Ken Roulston
Ken Roulston has worked in IT for over thirty years and has extensive experience in the IT Services arena. Ken started out as an engineer before realising that the selling of IT services and hardware was what interested him most. He joined the original CMI and through organic and acquisitive growth he was instrumental in the formation of Aurora UniComp, which was subsequently purchased by the Viridian Group and becoming Sx3, now Northgate IS Solutions. He then went on to spend time in Telecoms and the Internet industry and his most recent role before NewCMI was as Country Manager in Ireland for Parity PLC.
Ken’s goal is for the cmi team to offer an unrivalled level of customer service. He says he doesn’t have a lot of spare time so what little he does have is taken up with running, walking the dog and cooking.
Operations Director: Stephen Gillespie
Stephen, like Ken has been working in the IT Industry for over thirty years, but did the opposite and began his career in Sales before joining the real workers and becoming a Comms Engineer.
A founder member of Computer Maintenance Ireland, Stephen stayed with the organisation through its many guises and changes until 2008 when the new cmi began trading. Prior to this, Stephen was Service Delivery Manager at Northgate IS Solutions where he was responsible for revenues of ÂŁ3m and over 50 engineers.
Stephen is a great cyclist and has completed marathonesque bike rides both here and abroad for charity. For him though, it’s all about family and Stephen is back in touch with his inner child since the birth of his grand-daughters Amelia and Heidi.
Technical Director: Mike O’Neill
Mike has been working in IT for over 15 years and has a solid Technical background. Having started his career as a support engineer Mike’s business management skills helped him quickly progress into senior management roles. A Chartered IT Professional, he has worked with a number of successful organisations including ION Technologies, UNITE Solutions and Ethos IS before joining cmi in 2008.
In his free time Mike enjoys chilling with the family. Unfortunately for the rest of us Mike is a Manchester United fan and takes great delight in revelling in their success.
