CMI achieves Microsoft’s new Modern Work Partner designation

CMI Meets Microsoft Requirements for Modern Work Solution Partner Designation. In October 2022, Microsoft changed the name of their partner program from “Microsoft Partner Network” to “Microsoft Cloud Partner Program”. A subtle change in wording, but an important one to reflect Microsoft continuing focus on cloud-first.

Beyond the name, there are some major changes to how partners are measured and recognised. Previously a partner was recognised as either a silver or gold partner, CMI being recognised at the higher gold tier.

Under the new program, partners are measured to new solutions partner designations which means meeting tougher requirements based on a ‘partner capability score’ to ensure technical expertise and a proven history of customer success. With the bar set higher by Microsoft, it is inevitable that there will be fewer ‘accredited’ partners.

We’re proud therefore to confirm the first of our solutions partner designations has been achieved – Modern Work – that demonstrates our expertise to help customers boost their productivity and make the shift to hybrid work using Microsoft 365.
